Tax pin VS Tax Clearance Certificate
SARS has recently announced that it will no longer issue out printed Tax Clearance Certificate. This follows the implementation of a fully electronic Tax Compliance Status (TCS) system which was implemented by SARS in 2015
From 25 October 2019 going forward only a letter containing the Tax Pin is issued confirming that the taxpayer's status is containing the Tax Pin to verify if that Tax Compliance Status (TCS) is indeed compliant.
The 3rd parties should note that the Tax Pin can expire therefore the 3rd parties are required to insist on a new Tax Pin as the other has expired
